Susan ShalloArtology was inspired by a weeklong cruise to Alaska where attendee’s dabbled in the world of mixed media with enthusiasm and discovered a whole new way to create!   Susan Shallo, owner of Croptopia Getaways and founder of Artology Retreats has been an avid photographer, crafter and event planner for most of her life.  In 2003, after leaving the corporate world to become a stay at home mom, the idea for Croptopia Getaways was born.  For the past 10 years, Croptopia Getaways has been the premiere source for weekend scrapbook getaways on the East Coast.

About Our Instructors:

Cheryl MezzettiCheryl Mezzetti

Cheryl is an accomplished designer and artist who has been working in the paper arts industry for several years. She has been frequently published in scrapbooking and paper arts magazines and idea books. She is the current Design Team Coordinator for Creative Imaginations and Petaloo Flowers. Cheryl turns flea market finds into breathtaking works of art using a variety of media, but often incorporating patterned papers and scrapbooking embellishments. Cheryl and her husband Stephen live in Massachusetts and have four sons.

Sarah KSarah Kristiansen

Sarah is a photographer, scrapbooker, wife to TK, and mom to Sam and Jane. The owner and principal photographer at Sweet Jane Photography, Sarah has turned her passion into a successful business. She has found her nice in wedding photography, but gets so much joy from photographing families. Knowing that it was making photographs for her scrapbooks that fueled her desire to be a photographer, scrapbooking holds a permanent spot in her heart. She prefers to photograph snippets of her wonderfully ordinary life and to record the details of the everyday that make up life, and hopes that a little piece of her heart shines through each project. 50 years from now, she hopes her family will have a real and true picture of their life as it is now. And pretty pictures to go with it…

Michelle McCoshMichelle McCosh

What do talcum powder and volcanos have in common? They both erupt into a gorgeous mess and so does she! Anyone that knows Michelle, knows her love for getting messy! She loves dabbling with media and experimeneting with anything within her reach. Before owning her own scrapbook and stamp store, Michelle traveled extensively worldwide and loved to collect unusual items to incorporate into her art. Teaching in the industry for more than seven years has shown her that art changes the way in which you view the world, she loves what she sees and hopes to share that enthusiasm with everyone. Michelle is owner of “Everything Scrapbooks & Stamps” in West Palm Beach, Florida and is a Copic and Ranger Certified Educator.
